Can Powder Blue Cichlids or Electric Yellow Cichlids live in a 10 gallon tank?

I have a 10 gallon tank and I really want powder blue cichlids or electric yellow cichlids or a combination. I know they get along in bigger tanks and that 30 gallons is recommended but i just don't have the space for a tank that big. If a 15 or 20 gallon tank could work I might be able to get one. If it is possible to have either of these fish in a 10 gallon, how many could i have? Please help. Can Powder Blue Cichlids or Electric Yellow Cichlids live in a 10 gallon tank?
The answer is yes and no. Electric yellow or Blue FRY can. In fact I grow my Pseudotropheus Flavus fry, along with any other species I get to spawn in a 15 for about a month. I then move them over to a juvenile grow out tank before I move them to my adult tank. So technically, yeah you can, but they'd have to be fry only. Juveniles and adults just are not going to work, I'm sorry.

I know you may not have room for a larger tank, but that's really what it's going to take. If you will not listen or follow this, then get ONE only. I'm sorry but you have to realize this:

With African cichlids, MALES are highly aggressive towards other males. Much like a Betta will not tolerate another Betta in it's area, a male will fight continuously with any other males if the space is too small and 10 gallons is far too small. The males will see each other all the time and fight, NO MATTER HOW MUCH ROCK YOU PUT IN. It's just not enough space. And when you buy a young group of Yellow or Blues for that matter, even the most experienced of keepers cannot accurately sex those fish at that age.

I breed several species of Africans, and GENERALLY speaking, you need to have a large group. Usually as my females are all still in their first full year of spawning, I'm getting between 12-18 fry per batch. It takes about a month of grow out to even start to GUESS if there's males and females. Males will on average grow up and larger much faster then females, but this is not a promise it's a male. I'm going into this to tell you, in a 10 gallon, even with juveniles, you aren't going to know until it's too late.

If you get the 20, you MIGHT be able to move up to 3 with the right amount of cover provided, and it would have to be a 20 long, not high. Can Powder Blue Cichlids or Electric Yellow Cichlids live in a 10 gallon tank?
If you put them in a 10 gallon tank you had better have at the most 3. I try to put all of mine in a 30 or higher but I have kept them in 10's. If you put them in something like a 10 or 20 you have to make sure they have lots of cover( rocks, caves plants). You will have to decide what type of cichlid you want. I just drove 260 miles to pick 5 Cynotalapia Afra White Top they only get 3 to 4 inches long and they change their color variation depending on there mood.Just ask your local petshop about the fishes size before you buy them. Also try to buy 1 male and 2 females. This will make it easier in a small space for the fish.
They wouldn't survive for long, because they would get stunted by being in such a puny tank. Did you think of mollies, platys, or guppies? they're almost as colorful and much more able to live in such a small environment.
neither of thease to types of cichlids should be in a 10 gallon tank not even one they require a lot more room for their territoral beheavor
well you could as long as you sell them or give them away after they become older
no, these fish get 5-6 inches long.

it would be like you sleeping in a closet.

What happens if you leave the cocoa powder out of a recipe?

I have a brownie recipe that I want to try but it calls for cocoa powder. If I leave it out would the brownies taste like white cake instead of chocolate? Does that make sense? What happens if you leave the cocoa powder out of a recipe?
Actually you will have more of a ';blondie'; type brownie. It will have the consistency of a chocolate brownie but will taste sweet like cake. You might want to add more flour as the recipe will be missing a powdery type ingredient. But not exact amount. If the recipe calls for 1/2 cup cocoa powder add 1/4 cup flour and you may want to increase the vanilla in the recipe for a sweeter vanilla flavor. What happens if you leave the cocoa powder out of a recipe?
You've got it Lyric! They would not be chocolate, and I am pretty certain it would not resemble white cake either. Have to wonder why you are asking, unless you don't have any on hand ~ if that is the case, I'd go with another recipe ;)
You answered your question. Cocoa powder is what makes it chocolate.
It will probably be good, but different and not chocolate.
Call it liar's brownie.
It won't be chocolate
i wont be chocolate

  • What do you recommend to melt embossing powder besides the special heat tool?

I've used a light bulb before, but it takes a while and I always see spots afterwards. I tried putting it on a Yankee Candle tart warmer with a tea light lit inside. But, that didn't work. I'm thinking of trying a hair dryer, but I don't want to blow the embossing powder off the paper. Any ideas? Thanks! What do you recommend to melt embossing powder besides the special heat tool?
I use a hair dryer, but I am very careful (like you said, don't want to blow the powder off.)

I blow it on the lowest speed but the highest heat and only do so on the underside of the paper, making sure to hold the paper securely. I usually utlilize a family member to hold the paper so that it doesn't slip away from the movement! :)

Good luck! What do you recommend to melt embossing powder besides the special heat tool?
I tend to use a heat tool, although in a pinch, the hob of an oven will work at a low temperature (I have an electric oven, so I'm not sure how well it would work on a gas one).
I saw a lady once who used a small electric griddle. She placed the embossed item carefully on the surface that had been heated.
I've heard of using a hair dryer, but using it under the paper instead of on top of it so it doesn't blow the powder off.
Yes spend the money and get a heat gun. Use a coupon from Michael's or JoAnn's and get it at 40-50% off.

Can you make cookies without shortening, baking powder or baking soda?

So, I'm a college student who is trying to bake cookies for a friend who's had some bad times in the past few days. I've got eggs, oatmeal, chocolate chips, flour, white sugar, salt, milk, oil and margarine, but no shortening or baking powder/soda, which seems to be crucial for many recipes. Can you make cookies without these ingredients? Can you make cookies without shortening, baking powder or baking soda?
I am fairly sure you don't need any of those things to make no bake cookies. You do, however, need peanut butter...and the recipe. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/No-Bake-Coo鈥?/a> most call for cocoa powder but these use choc. chips! Can you make cookies without shortening, baking powder or baking soda?
Go to Paula Deen's cooking website. She makes peanut butter cookies that have no flour, soda, or baking powder in them.
    You'll need butter.

Baking powder or soda are risers, they make the cookies grow, omitting them will give you a much denser cookie, closer to a sugar cookie I guess.

I wouldn't make them with margarine if at all possible.
no, you need at least one of them....
Here is a very simple recipe from WIC - healthy but good! Preheat oven to 350.

You will need 1 large egg, 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of creamy peanut butter (i use Jif) and a fork. Mix all the ingredients together in a medium bowl and drop onto lightly greased cookie sheet in small balls, about a 1/2 inch or so. Use the fork to gently press down on the top of the ball making a criss-cross pattern. Put into oven for 10 mins. Sometimes you need to add 2 more minutes. Cookies are done when they are golden brown around the edges. Makes about 18-23 cookies depending on size.

    Enjoy!

What powder substances luminece under a Black Light?

What types of powders show up very brightly under a UV light? I am working on a theft detection issue, but commercial powder products are very overpriced and hard to find without mail order. I was hoping there was something mundane to be used instead. Note: inks and liquids will not work for my situation. What powder substances luminece under a Black Light?
Laundry detergent powder often fluoresces a bright white/blue. Glow-in-the-dark powder is a bit more expensive, but very bright (and available in many colors). There are also many minerals that do this, but they are usually uncommon enough to be too expensive for such a use.

Does powder foundation blend as well as liquid foundation? What are the pros and cons of each? Which is better for oily skin?Does powder foundation blend as well as liquid foundation? What are the pros and cons of each?
liquid foundation is so much better, for any type of skin, i would go to your mac counter right now and get studio fix fluid, its amazing and its soo good for your skin. i used to have oily skin and now as long as i keep it moisturized and since ive been using studio fix i havent had any problemsDoes powder foundation blend as well as liquid foundation? What are the pros and cons of each?
Mineral/powder foundation is less of a coverage but still protects your skin, and if it is minerals, it is very healthy for your skin too. Liquid conceals blemishes better, but if you are using a cheep brand then it can cause the problem more. So be sure to used something that has quality and is noncomendogenic (has nothing is it that is small enough to clog your pores)
I love the liquid minerals, I apply it with my kabuki brush I got from bare minerals. I like both liquid and powder, I use both. Not all powders and liquids are the same, everyone skin is so different. I can't even begin to fathom all the money I have spent trying to figure out what works the best!
powder is said to be better for oily skin as it will soak some up and the liquid makes it greasier usually because of its ingredients. Powder from experience highlights the areas on your skin that are dry, but if you aply liquid first it doesnt look as bad.
Just use both. Use a colored liquid foundation as the base and top it with a translucent colored powder to decrease shine and add a matte-finish.
powder is def. better for oily skin

its doesnt blen as well as liquid.

but liquid gives more coverage than powder.

    Yes, Dutch pancake!

    Eggs

    Flour

    Milk

    Vegetable oil for frying

    Toppings of choice

Break eggs into a medium-sized bowl (about 1 egg per person). Beat with a whisk.

Whisk small scoops of flour into the egg (about 1/4 cup at a time), incorporating until you have a rather thick dough (but not a complete clump).

Add milk (about 1/4 cup at a time), whisking all the while. In the end, you want the dough to be quite thin--about the consistency of eggnog.

Pour about 1 tbsp. of oil into skillet and heat on medium.

Ladle pancake dough into skillet, ensuring that a thin layer covers the entire base of the skillet.

Using a spatula, lift the pancake to see when it starts turning golden (about 1 minute). Flip pancake and cook other side until golden.

Repeat with remaining dough, adding more oil as you go.

    2 large eggs

    1 cup milk

    1/3 cup water

    1 tablespoon butter

    Freshly squeezed lemon juice

    1/2 cup powdered sugar

Prepare the flour mixture. Sift the flour and salt over large bowl. Make a 'well' in the center and set aside.

Add the eggs. Add eggs one at a time to the 'well' in the flour mixture. Whisk together only after all eggs have been added.

Prepare milk and water. In separate bowl, mix together the milk and water until combined.

Prepare pancake batter. Slowly add milk and water mixture by the tablespoon, mixing constantly to combine.

Prepare butter mixture. Melt the butter in a frying pan, then add 1/8 cup of batter. Whisk thoroughly in frying pan, then pour entire mixture back into original pancake batter to combine.

Prepare for frying. Heat the pan with butter on high heat and then reduce to medium.

Fry the pancakes. Pour 1/4 cup batter for each pancake and cook only a few seconds until lightly brown; flip immediately and cook for a few more seconds.

Remove from pan and place on plate. Cover until all batter is cooked.

Fill the pancakes. Fill each pancake with lemon juice and 1 tablespoon sugar, then fold in half twice to make small triangles.

What is the difference between all the powder makeups?

What is the difference between all of the following...

    - Powder makeup

    - Pressed powder makeup

    - Loose finishing powder

And what does each one do?What is the difference between all the powder makeups?
Powder make up: coverage in the form of loose powder.

Pressed powder make up : make up powder in a pressed block, this usually has more oil and emoilliants in it so isn't as good for oily skin as the powder make up.

Loose finishing powder: is technically not make up as its not used to provide coverage but is dusted on to help your make up stay put.

Can I replace baking soda with baking powder in a resipe?

Iam trying to make a cake, and the resipe asks for baking soda. All I have is baking powder, Can I use it?Can I replace baking soda with baking powder in a resipe?
No, they have completely different properties and chemical reactions. Unfortunately, there isn't a good substitute. Time to go next door and borrow some baking soda... and be sure to ALWAYS check the expiration dates on baking powder and soda. Unlike other products where you can sometimes get by, expired baking soda or powder really will ruin your recipe. Can I replace baking soda with baking powder in a resipe?

you can but it will taste horrible and not turn out right. they are totally differend things.
no b/c it will be horrible.
Yes you can do it, because baking powder and baking soda has exactly the same chemical contents (Natriumhydrogencarbonate)

The others are wrong, when they say, it tastes different. I experienced it myself by baking a cake and I麓m a chemical assistant, so you can definiteley trust me.
    NO NO NO

    NO

    NO NO NO
GOD NO!! the result could be catastrophic.
no the chemical composition is not the same..walk to the store and buy the soda
Unfortunately, you are trying the hardest of the two. It is easier to replace baking powder with baking soda. Substituting for a lack of baking powder is very easy: 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda plus 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar (ignoring the cornstarch) for each teaspoon of baking powder required.

Substituting baking powder when you don鈥檛 have soda on hand is a little more difficult. Baking powders are mixtures of baking soda plus an acid to react with it, plus some cornstarch for shelf life. To do so, you would have to consider the acidic ingredients in the recipe, and perhaps reengineer the recipe to replace them with more neutral ingredients (using whole milk instead of buttermilk, perhaps). But at that point, you would see, it would be easier and probably a lot more successful to pick up a box of baking soda.

If the recipe calls for buttermilk substitue whole milk in this quantity: For every quart of whole milk, subtract 0.5 oz of baking soda and add 1 oz of baking powder. To eliminate all the soda have a good calculator.

Other acids used to react with soda are: honey, molasses, fruit juices, purees, and chocolates.

    Good luck.....
No! it will taste very bad. Don't do it!!!!!!!
    No
Yes and no. Baking powder can be replaced by baking soda plus an acid (usually cream of tartar), and the substitution is one-quarter part soda and one-half part cream of tartar per one part baking powder. So, to substitute, you might have to greatly increase the amount of powder for soda (in other words, use 4 times as much--but you should also take out cream of tartar if that is an ingredient *unless* it has another purpose such as in whipping egg whites). I have never tried this myself, but I have in the other direction. It should work, but I would suggest trying it on a cake (or other recipe) that you are eating yourself or serving only to forgiving family or friends just in case... :)
NO plain and simple the answer is no
no my sis and i did that once and we runied the whole cake

What can i use instead of baking powder in a recipe?

I want to make waffles, but in the recipe it says to use baking powder...What can I use instead of baking powder? Is baking soda ok?What can i use instead of baking powder in a recipe?
Baking soda is OK as long as there is an acidic ingredient to activate the baking soda. Baking powder is just baking soda with cream of tartar. Cream of tartar is the acid that activates the soda. You could add cream of tartar. Or, you could add buttermilk or lemon juice to the batter (both acidic ingredients).

If you tell me what the other ingredients are and their amounts, then maybe I could help a little better.

Edit: I don't think you should use the old milk. I also don't think that water is a good substitute for the milk. Do you have any instant or evaporated milk? You could add water to either one of those. How about half and half, soy milk, or whipping cream? Also, I bet that maybe 1/2 tsp of distilled white vinegar might work for the acid and would not effect the flavor of the waffles. What can i use instead of baking powder in a recipe?
When it comes to baking powder and baking soda.. You should be replacing the stuff you have every 3 months. Old product won't give you the proper chemical reaction, which definitely has an effect on the end product. Also, keep tightly covered. Moisture from the air will degrade the product, reducing effectiveness.

Try using a different recipe if you don't have what you need OR make something with the ingredients you have available.

  • How does hydrogen peroxide cream and lightening powder work?

Is it mostly the hydrogen peroxide cream doing the lightening? Or mostly the lightening powder? Or both at once? What would either do by itself? Just curious. Thanks if anyone knows. How does hydrogen peroxide cream and lightening powder work?
they work together. The powder would do nothing by itself, except maybe make you itch. The peroxide would slowly lighten your hair over time if you put it in over time, but it's not balanced for a stop process like this and causes soooooooo much damage and often a chemical cut because without the ingredients in the powder for it to grab on to it never fully gets washed out of your hair.

What is the difference between using powder detergent and liquid?

and how do I know if my washer can use powdered? What is the difference between using powder detergent and liquid?
Yes you could technically premix your detergent. You just have to make sure to remember the concentration. For example if you put 3 scoops of powdered detergent in the bottle and then 1 1/2 cups of water you will know to use 1/2 cup of the liquid premix for each load of laundry. What is the difference between using powder detergent and liquid?
I use powdered because my wife won't let me buy liquid.

I put the powder in the machine then start it up. I wait until the washer is half full of water before I start throwing in, so the powder has had a chance to mix with the water so there's less chance of getting powder in your clothes.
Read your owner's manual. Most machines can take either, but powdered detergent doesn't always dissolve and sticks to your clothes. This is especially true in front loaders that use a small amount of water.
Well.... The powder kind isn't all that bad, if you put the detergent in first, and allow it to disolve in the water before you add your clothes.

I guess you could mix the powder with water as you mentioned, but I think it would be a lot of work, and probably a bit messy. =/
One is concentrated, one is watered down, Literally.

I agree with first answer read owner's manual.
I have always used liquid, it dissolves easier and when we had a septic tank the people that installed the septic system recommended using the liquid as the powder don't always dissolve and it can clog up the drain into your septic system I also use liquid or gel dish washing soap for my dish washer.
i like using liquid because if its really cold the powered doesn't melt and u can end up with chunks of soap in clothes

What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?

Is there an easy way to remember when to use each one? What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?
Baking soda is, essentially, an older form of baking powder consisting of only one chemical compound, sodium bicarbonate. Modern baking powder by contrast consists of several compounds. My packet at home contains sodium pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate and potato starch.

Baking powder has several advantages, generally. It raises better under more diverse conditions, it tends to create less brittle bread and cakes, and it's relatively odorless compared to the distinctive aroma of baking soda. However, there's plenty of situations where precisely that aroma and the associated brittleness is desired, and where you'd use baking soda instead or a combination of the two - Irish soda bread, Southern-style cornbread etc.

For most general uses, though, I'd recommend baking powder. What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?
Baking powder is used in pancakes and breads or muffins that do not have acidic ingredients such as honey, buttermilk or yogurt.
baking soda has more of a salty taste, baking powder tends to clump together easier

What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?

I have always wondered that. If a recipe calls for one, can I use the other? Or are they two completely different things? What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?
Both baking soda and baking powder are leavening agents, which means they are added to baked goods before cooking to produce carbon dioxide and cause them to 'rise'. Baking powder contains baking soda, but the two substances are used under different conditions.

    Baking Soda

Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate. When baking soda is combined with moisture and an acidic ingredient (e.g., yogurt, chocolate, buttermilk, honey), the resulting chemical reaction produces bubbles of carbon dioxide that expand under oven temperatures, causing baked goods to rise. The reaction begins immediately upon mixing the ingredients, so you need to bake recipes which call for baking soda immediately, or else they will fall flat!

    Baking Powder

Baking powder contains sodium bicarbonate, but it includes the acidifying agent already (cream of tartar), and also a drying agent (usually starch).

Baking powder is available as single-acting baking powder and as double-acting baking powder. Single-acting powders are activated by moisture, so you must bake recipes which include this product immediately after mixing. Double-acting powders react in two phases and can stand for a while before baking. With double-acting powder, some gas is released at room temperature when the powder is added to dough, but the majority of the gas is released after the temperature of the dough increases in the oven.

    How Are Recipes Determined?

Some recipes call for baking soda, while others call for baking powder. Which ingredient is used depends on the other ingredients in the recipe. The ultimate goal is to produce a tasty product with a pleasing texture. Baking soda is basic and will yield a bitter taste unless countered by the acidity of another ingredient, such as buttermilk. You'll find baking soda in cookie recipes. Baking powder contains both an acid and a base and has an overall neutral effect in terms of taste. Recipes that call for baking powder often call for other neutral-tasting ingredients, such as milk. Baking powder is a common ingredient in cakes and biscuits.

    Substituting in Recipes

You can substitute baking powder in place of baking soda (you'll need more baking powder and it may affect the taste), but you can't use baking soda when a recipe calls for baking powder. Baking soda by itself lacks the acidity to make a cake rise. However, you can make your own baking powder if you have baking soda and cream of tartar. Simply mix two parts cream of tartar with one part baking soda. What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?
Baking powder and baking soda are both types of chemical leaveners used in baking. The two have different properties, so they cannot simply be substituted for one another directly.

Baking soda is also known as bicarbonate of soda. It reacts with acidic ingredients, such as buttermilk, yogurt and molasses to create bubbles of carbon dioxide, which causes batter to rise. It starts to work immediately when exposed to the acidic ingredient, so a batter made with baking soda should generally be baked as soon after mixing as possible. Baking soda can also aid in browning during baking.

Baking powder is actually a combination of baking soda, cream of tartar and a bit of cornstarch. Cream of tartar is an acidic ingredient, so it prompts the baking soda to work even when no other acidic ingredients are present in a batter. The cornstarch absorbs moisture and prevents the baking powder from being activated too quickly, or before it makes it into the batter in the first place. It works by releasing CO2 bubbles, just as baking soda does. Many baking powders, and most of those used in the US, are ';double acting,'; meaning that they work once when exposed to moisture and again when exposed to heat. This gives the impression that baking powder doughs and batters will rise higher than those made with baking soda alone, but this is not necessarily the case.

There is no substitute for baking soda but, if you must substitute for baking powder, the equivalent to 1 tsp of baking powder can be made by combining 3/4 tsp cream of tartar with 1/4 tsp baking soda. When you're baking, the best bet is to stick with the recipe as it is written, not to try to substitute when it comes to leavening agents.

Question: What Is the Difference Between Baking Soda %26amp; Baking Powder?

Answer: Both baking soda and baking powder are leavening agents, which means they are added to baked goods before cooking to produce carbon dioxide and cause them to 'rise'.

    TO summarize

Baking soda reacts with an acid to make carbon dioxide.

Baking powder contains both baking soda and an acid in dry forms. So when you mix it in your dough, the moisture will make them react together so you can have your dough rise.
they are different. baking soda is just one type of product. bakind powder contains baking soda but other types of products.
NO, baking powder is baking soda and cream of tartar, do not substitute.

What's the difference between magnesium powder and magnesium ribbon in sulfuric acid?

I made magnesium sulphate by putting magnesium ribbon into sulfuric acid. What would happen to the rate of reaction if I had used magnesium powder instead? What's the difference between magnesium powder and magnesium ribbon in sulfuric acid?
Your reaction would have been intenser , depending on he H2s04 concentration you could have created an explosion.. the total surface of powder being in contact with the liquid is far greater than the surface of the ribbon.

Also depends how fine your powder is.What's the difference between magnesium powder and magnesium ribbon in sulfuric acid?
Reaction rate is higher because the powder has a greater surface area.
Magnesium ribbon is a pure solid form if the metal, therefore when its powder, it means that it has been oxidised - burned to the oxide- magnesium oxide. Consequently if you put magnesium oxide (powder) into the sulphuric acid the reaction will be stronger because magnesium oxide contains O. MgO will dissolve in sulphuric acid.
hi im an al evel student in chem ill tell ya

powder increases the surface area making more particles available for reaction. so the reaction rate would have increased the gradient would have been steeper but the same final end point assuming the same mass had been used in both experiments
faster rate of reaction as there is a larger surface area to react

Whether you use liquid or powder doesn't matter, but (sorry to contradict earlier responder) you are supposed to use less detergent in the FRONT loaders. Is it OK to use washing powder for a front loader in my top loading washing machine?
You should be using what is recommended for your washing machine. It maybe cheaper shoort term, but you maybe stuffing up your washing machine which costs hundreds to replace, and not to mention your clothes.
yeah, it may make a slight difforence in the amount of boubles etc. but it wont hurt anything. try it and the worst case is something doesnt go how it should and the floor gets a bit wet, no permenant damage
It won't hurt anything. It is just a cleaning powder. However, top loaders agitate more, so use a smaller amount of cleaner.
yep just not the other way round as top loader powder will foam too much
it is meant not to suds much yes its ok to use

Can 1/4 cup of baking powder be substituted with anything else for a recipe?

For each 1 teaspoon baking powder called for in a recipe, use:

1/4 teaspoon baking soda plus 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar; Can 1/4 cup of baking powder be substituted with anything else for a recipe?
baking powder is the raising agent in most pastry recipes. if the recipe is using plain flour then you may substitute it for self raising flour which can sometimes work depending on the recipe. this works for simple recipes like tea cake that sort of thing, cause the egg whites also act as a raising agent( one is a chemical agent the other a mechanical agent). but the conversion ratio of bicarb soda %26amp; cream of tartar that a few have given you is the right way to go as this is the recipe for baking powder.

Baking soda is an ingredient in baking powder but to substitute it 1 for 1, would be to ruin whatever you make (if the recipe is correct) because it would be much too salty.

How do you make homemade cocoa powder?

You know, the powder one. I can't buy any cause there's no cocoa where I live. Well, atleast I can't find any. Please answer my question ASAP! Not the hot cocoa. I don't need that one.How do you make homemade cocoa powder?
you need to buy cocoa beans, roast them and ground them up to a fine powder to make cocoa powder.

or just use melted chocolate in place of cocoa powderHow do you make homemade cocoa powder?
I am afraid if you cannot buy cocoa where you live, there is little chance of you being able to make cocoa yourself. What about chocolate? Can you buy that? If so, you will have to substitute very finely grated chocolate for the cocoa in the recipe. You will have to add more chocolate than cocoa, so check the taste.

If you are in a very hot country, I know it is difficult to melt the chocolate available. If this is the case, you will possibly need to add a little colouring as well as the grated chocolate. Use gravy browning or boil some sugar in a little water until it turns brown. Leave to cool before adding to your recipe.

If ';drinking chocolate'; is available, you can use that instead of cocoa, but reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe by about a dessertspoon for each teaspoon of drinking chocolate you use. Drinking chocolate contains much less cocoa butter, so you will need to add about three times as much as your recipe calls for cocoa powder.

    Hope this helps! Good luck!

';Soap nut powder works very well, but it has to be dissolved in water, strained and then added to the washing machine';. This is a quote I received from NeemResources.com. Report Abuse

I use a non-bio liquid %26amp; find Sainsbury's own make to be excellent.Another bonus is that liquids don't clog up your soap drawer.I also use Sainsbury's own ';Gentle'; fabric conditioner which is for folk with sensitive skin.Worth knowing is that both smell exactly the same as the Marks %26amp; Spencer versions so guess same supplier but Sainsbury's much cheaper I wash most things at 40 degrees and find liquid better in that respect too as often powders don't dissolve at that low a temperature
You could use liquid detergents. There are lots of washing products for sensitive skin. I find the best thing to use are non biological detergents. They don't have any bleaches in which can irritate delicate skin. Ecover does an eco friendly one which has no chemicals. Its a bit pricey, but worth a try.
Have you tried liquid detergent? I like that a lot better. It seemed that the powder never dissolved completely, especially when I washed in cold. Hope this helps.
Liquid detergent is good. It dissolves properly. I prefer the liquid itself to the liquid tablets as I have had problems with them not dissolving at a low temperature wash.

What's the difference between liquid foundation, powder foundation, loose powder, & pressed powder?

I have oliy sink around the t-zone so what kind should i use? What's the difference between liquid foundation, powder foundation, loose powder, %26amp; pressed powder?
    WELL.

liquid foundation is usually best suited for people who have normal or dry skin, since liquids tend to melt off/into pores on people with oilier skin (such as myself). Coverage can be anywhere from sheer to full depending on the brand and the thickness of the liquid, although with liquids and oily skin I find that cakiness always follows after a few hours of wear, unless you are constantly removing the makeup and redoing it lol.

powder foundation is great for oily skin, or combo, and basically gives you a lighter application and is better for withstanding oily skin. Usually they don't give the best coverage, at least in my opinion. A great way around this though is to use a mineral powder foundation, as it gives similar coverage as traditional foundations but without as many harmful effects on oily skin. Brands to check out are Everyday Minerals, Meow Cosmetics, LA Minerals.. I've only tried Everyday Minerals, and find that I LOVE the coverage but without my sunscreen, moisturizer and primer, the makeup shifts a lot on my nose and chin, and now it just gets a bit shiny.

Loose powder and pressed powder are basically powders used to set your foundation. I prefer loose over pressed, although loose is messier.I find that loose powders last longer and are also easier in terms of controlling how much is applied to your face.

For your skin, I would suggest to try out some oil free primers. You could try Smashbox Photofinish Light, and I've also tried Makeup Forever's HD one, although it didn't work well for shine control, just helped with making my makeup not really shift at all. You can also try primers in powder form from online companies like Everyday MInerals or Fyrinnae. I'd personally get a sample kit from Everyday Minerals (gives you 3 foundations and they have 4 different kinds of coverage, and you can choose a concealer and a blush, and you only pay the shipping) and also get a sample of their start to finish powder, either rice or regular one. And also Fyrinnae makes a rice powder primer, so I would say maybe order both, or try one first then if it doesn't work try th eother. Depending on where you live, shipping could take a while. Fyrinnae right now is going to take longer than usual.

Hope this helped somewhat lol. What's the difference between liquid foundation, powder foundation, loose powder, %26amp; pressed powder?
As a professional makeup artist I can highly recommend the latest rave in mineral liquid foundations. Bee Luscious Mineral Photo Touch Foundation and bee luscious liquid minerals are the most amazing foundations you can use. Google bee luscious and be amazed.

This product gives you the best of all worlds a smooth liquid with even application that turns to powdery finish.

Powders are great for added coverage and to mattify but with the two products I mentioned its all in one or you can add the matching pressed powder for added coverage and SPF.

When do you start to use powder when changing a baby's diaper?

I was told you don't at first. I forget if or what the nurses said about when to start. When do you start to use powder when changing a baby's diaper?
i have never used it, and he's 8 months old, almost 9. it gets in their lungsWhen do you start to use powder when changing a baby's diaper?
Don't use anything, if your baby's skin is clean and dry then there is no need to use any products whatsoever. people used to use this and creams when nappies were not so effective at drawing the fluid away from the baby's skin. Nowadays, the likes of Pampers and Huggies and even the one I used (re-usable bamboo nappies) are so good that the skin barely gets wet and babies hardly get nappy rash at all. Also, the talc powder is not good for babies because they can inhale the fumes that come off them.
Powder isn't a must. The problem comes when we shake a container of it around, and it's in the air to be inhaled. I love the smell of baby powder, and I would just rub it on their backs. Just using it sparingly and rubbing it in gently will not cause a problem. Filling their diapers with it might. This idea that you can't use it at all is another of those new things that are supposed to make us feel bad as a parent. Babies have had a bit of powder sprinkled on them for generations, and there is no proof that it has hurt them. If the whole world were clean and pure, it might make a difference, but often the same parent who refuses to use baby powder lives in a house with a smoker, or wears heavy perfumes or has an animal...and of which can cause allergies.

Use common sense. If you want t bit of powder, pick one with cornstarch or a medicated talc, and use it sparingly. Don't just dust the baby though, rub it in to the area you want to feel dryer for your babe.
At my daughters nine month check up last week my dr said never to use it (b/c she had some on when he examined her) Something about it getting in their lungs. I personally am going to continue putting on her after her baths. For me it was a fond memory as a kid with my mom and we put on a lot and I have no problems. I did wait until she was about 3 months old to start putting it on her.

You can't use corn starch on girls!!!!
if ur talking about baby powder i wouldnt really use it cause when u do the particles that fly up iin the air can harm the baby, get the roll on type, i just had my daughter and i had to go thru 2 classes for a new time mom and they talked about that and said that it can possibly harm the baby,

although i cant tell u what to do, do what ur mom instinct tells u to do.
The latest I heard is that regular talcum powder shouldn't be used by anyone. Supposedly, it's similar to asbestos somehow in its affects on the lungs. I never used any powder on my son. If you feel like it's necessary use pure cornstarch or prepared powder made from cornstarch.
the only time we use it is at night after our son gets a bath. We just put it in ';his diaper rash area'; after we give him a bath and no more diaper rash. He's 9 months old now and we were using it some when he was just over a month old (when he came home from the hospital) mainly for heat rash at that time though.
Is there really a reason anyone needs to use it? I mean if your child has diaper rash they make creams the only reason i can think people would use it is for diaper rash..they say now not to use it period because it will get in there lungs although my mother used it on me and im perfectly healthy but i have no plans of using it on my 5 month old !!
I'm not sure of when, but when you do start only use the cornstarch kind, not talc. The talc is bad for their lungs if inhaled.

I used it sometimes if my baby's butt looked irritated or red. The medicated cornstarch variety, I think with aloe.
I only use it after the bath to ensure his bum is totally dry before I put the diaper on, other than that I just wipe and if it looks red or irritated i will use a little bit of vaseline or a cream and if it looks relaly bad in the creases I use diaper rash cream! :)
I never used it. It's really not necessary, and sometimes it can irritate the baby because it can float through the air and be inhaled. We were given some and it just sat and sat. I did use diaper rash cream when necessary, though.
You don't have to use it at all if it isn't necessary. If baby is hot or itchy or chafing, you can use a little bit, but be sure it is cornstarch based, not talc. Talc can cause respiratory problems.
I don't use it. I think it is unnecessary period. You don't really need to use it at all, and I don't think there is a proper age to start...but it's been said that using it around baby can cause breathing problems.
It is safe to use Cornstarch powder once the circumcision if any is healed. It is the talc powder that is not recomended because it has been shown to cause cancer... not the cornstarch.
I probably started at about 1 month old. I dont use it at every change either, just when I think he needs it. Of course as the weather is getting warmer, I use it a lot more. I dont want him uncomfortable.
It's really not recommended at all any more. Here's some of the reasons why:

    http://parenting.ivillage.com/baby/bsafe鈥?/a>
I only used it if it looked like he was getting red in the diaper area and it seems to help the redness go away and not develope into diaper rash.
Don't use powder. The powder can be inhaled into the lungs. Powder is no longer recommended.
Don't use powder. The baby can inhale it and become sick. The nurses told me to not use it at all. It is really not necessary.
I started using it with my son right away...we use Johnson's and Johnson's pure cornstarch. It helps everything to stay dry...and smells good...not to mention prevents diaper rash!
Well, they say now not to use powder because it gets in their lungs! I'm not sure if this age changes or not? But I think I'd stay clear of it?
I was told to wait a few weeks, to let her lungs develop. I ended up never starting.
I started when my baby was about 3 months or so. But then I noticed it caused for her skin to dry out and pimple so we stopped.
I never started to use it and my son never had a diaper rash.

What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?

Knowing the difference will help determine which to use in a recipe. What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?
An important question in cooking. Baking powder is a mixture of an acid, like tartaric or citric acid, and bicarbonate of soda. which is alkaline. When you buy this mixture, it is dry, and there's no reaction. As soon as you add water, the acid and base react, and bubbles of carbon dioxide gas are given off. Try it. Put some baking powder in a glass and add cold water. It will fizz up. So it's important to keep baking powder dry while you store it, and if you add it to something moist when cooking, like batter, carry out the rest of the cooking fairly quickly, before all the bubbles have escaped. Bicarbonate of soda is also a raising agent which produces bubbles of carbon dioxide gas, but it works differently. It doesn't decompose when it gets wet, like baking powder does, but it decomposes and gives off CO2 gas when hot. The heat of baking produces the gas. Take two glasses and put some bicarbonate of soda into each glass. Add boiling water to one glass and cold water to the other. Only the hot one will fizz. Are baking powder and bicarbonate interchangeable in recipes? Not always. Baking powder is neutral but bicarbonate is an alkali. Keep a supply of both and stick to the recipe. Sometimes it makes a difference. What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda?

This is one of the horse Myths. Garlic does not help in fly control. People think it does, but studies have shown that it doesn't. You are just wasting time and money feeding your horse garlic powder to control flies. Non of the so called natural remedies work.
Give it a few weeks to work in but there are other natural options I just tried this marigolds spray it works and if you plant marigolds around the barn if helps with flys.
At least a few weeks before the bugs come out so it gives time to start working.

  • What type or brand of protein powder or supplements should I use to gain weight?

I'm 15 and reallllllllly skinny. I want to be thicker so I was searching ways to gain weight. I have a high metabolism so eating won't cut it. I heard about protein powder and want to use it. Do you know any brands and their prices? Also on how much to use a day and etc. I also know that I have to do excercises too but don't want to start yet because I'm afraid I will lose weight. Help please? What type or brand of protein powder or supplements should I use to gain weight?
You will not lose weight if you start lifting and protein will help you gain weight. Of course, yes, calories are the most important thing and you should probably talk to your doctor about ways to gain weight. I don't necessarily recommend eating anything you get your hands on. Sure, you can eat tons of calories to gain weight, but just because you physically cant pack on the pounds does not mean your heart isn鈥檛 feeling the unhealthy effects of the junk you are eating. So yes, eat ridiculous amount of food but not necessarily unhealthy food, just make sure you get the calories. You mainly want high quality protein from chicken and lean meat.

If you want to pack on the weight via weightlifting, you need to lift everyday for about an hour, alternating muscle groups each day. An example would be chest/triceps/shoulders one day and bicep/back the next day (your typical push-pull routine). You can do sit ups whenever, and work in legs a couple times a week on one of those days.

As far as supplements are concerned, you should definitely take protein if you are trying to build muscle. I would also recommend creatine (ethyl ester not monohydrate) as well. When using these supplements you need to be sure to drink A LOT of water, this diminishes the harmful effect these supplements might (not if you take them safely) have on your kidneys. I believe the rule of thumb for protein is that you should not exceed 1 gram of supplemental protein per pound of body weight (some people will say per kilogram, ask your doctor). I'd take two grams of creatine before lifting, although people will say to take 2 before and 2 after, that stuff can be a little more detrimental than the protein so I'd play it safe there.

The other supplement I will note, but not not necessarily require you to take, is an N.O./caffeine supplement. This includes, N.O. explode, Nano Vapor, and the brand Wal-Mart carries, NoX Blast. These help with motivation more than anything. The caffeine hit gets you amped to lift and the N.O. (nitric oxide, not to be confused with the gas nitrus oxide) gets your blood flowing. Unfortunately, this supplement is a little pricy. Also, gauge your tolerance carefully when first taking this stuff, you can feel nauseous if you take too much.

For protein, take Whey after you lift (and potentially before if you want) to help recovery. If you eat right after you lift, and what you eat is already high in protein, you probably do not need to take the Whey after. At night you could consider taking Caseine protein. This protein is not absorbed as fast as Whey so its feeds your muscles for a sustained time as you sleep. To build muscle you should take in plenty of protein throughout the day, try to spread it out a little and have something high in protein at each meal.

As far as lifting is concerned, you probably want to do low reps high weight, but that's a whole different matter.

To sum up, if you want to gain weight take the above supplements, consume a crap load of calories, and lift hard everyday and you should be set.

    - Side note: You can get all these supplements at Wal-mart. If you do go to a weightlifting supplement store, most will do online price matching. You are also going to need to buy a shaker to mix this crap. What type or brand of protein powder or supplements should I use to gain weight?
I've been doing my own research because I need to gain weight too. You need more than protein. It takes about 3500 calories a week to gain one pound. To effectively gain weight you should increase your calorie intake by 500 - 1000 each day. This should add about a pound per week. Don't just add any kind of calorie though. You need to add the right balance of Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fat - you get to eat all the foods that dieters can't.

The easiest way to eat more is to make a point of eating something every 2-3 hours, drink lots of water, increase your sodium intake, eat late at night and get plenty of rest.

The best type of exercise when trying to gain weight is resistance or weight training which will help strengthen and tone muscles and build bone mass.

Smoothies and milkshakes are great drinks.

High Protein Milk Recipe - 380 calories, 20g protein

    1 cup milk

    1/4 cup skim milk powder

    3/4 cup ice cream

Use this as a base and add different fruits, juices or syrups to change it up a bit.

You should also talk to your doctor.

Protein powder doesn't have a lot of calories. It isn't going help you gain weight. It is a staple in a diet though.
    http://www.gainingweight.co.uk/example-alw.htm?gclid=CLC0r6Tax5UCFQyI1QodWBGnig
You need more fats and carbos. not protein.
I'm the same way: high metabolism, i could eat however much of whatever i want and i wouldn't gain an ounce. People like us can pretty much only gain weight by building muscle.

You won't gain weight just by taking the protein. You need to lift weights. If you have no fat on you, weightlifting will only increase your weight. If you have some fat on you, you will lose some of the fat but gain muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat so you'll still gain weight.

The protein powder will help you gain muscle if you take it along with working out. It should be taken immediately after lifting weights. It should be whey protein, because whey protein is more likely to go to the muscles than other forms. It's the type of protein milk has. Powder form is better though, because it's isolated and you can get what you need without drinking gallons of liquid.

I'm sure there's more than one good brand. I use ON (Optimum Nutrition), and it tastes good and pretty much dissolves in water. Another popular brand is EAS. Judging by Amazon, all powders seem to have a similar price. You're looking at about $40 for a 5-lb tub. It should last you a long time so that's not bad. There are also 2-lb tubs for around $20.

If you're 15 and skinny, you probably weigh a lot less than the average person who takes protein powder (typically adult men who lift weights, so they probably average 200lbs). So whatever the directions say, i'd take about half that amount if i were you, or somewhere between half and 3/4. The tubs come with their own scooper and the directions will probably say 1 scoop. So if you take 1/2 or 3/4 of a scoop, that should be enough.

And don't think you can cheat your weight up simply by taking more protein than you need. Your body will just get rid of unneeded protein, it won't dump it to your muscles.

***Make sure to eat plenty of carbs, otherwise your body will burn muscle tissue as energy, meaning you'll lose muscle! Your diet should be mostly carbs. The point of the powder isn't to increase your protein intake, it's to replace the protein you would eat after a workout with a protein that builds muscle faster-- whey protein.

    Spicy Chicken Coconut Curry Recipe

    3 tablespoons Ghee, recipe follows

    2 medium onions, chopped

1-inch piece ginger, peeled and finely chopped

    4 garlic cloves, finely chopped

    2 tablespoons tomato paste

2 tablespoons Curry Powder, recipe follows

    1 cinnamon stick

1 to 3 dried red chiles

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

2 (15-ounce) cans unsweetened coconut milk

    2 cups chicken stock

    4 tomatoes, seeded and chopped

6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch strips

1/4 cup cilantro leaves, plus more for garnish

    1 lemon, juiced

    Mint leaves, for garnish

Heat the ghee in a large heavy-bottomed pot over medium-low heat. Add the onions, ginger, and garlic and cook slowly until the onions are very soft, about 15 minutes. Add the tomato paste, curry powder, cinnamon stick, and chiles and give it a good stir; season with salt and pepper. Pour in the coconut milk and chicken stock and bring it back to a simmer; cook until the sauce has thickened, about 20 minutes. Add the tomatoes, chicken, cilantro, and half the lemon juice; continue to simmer until the chicken is cooked through, about 10 to 15 minutes. Taste and adjust the seasoning with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Garnish with cilantro and mint leaves.

    Ghee:

    1 pound unsalted butter

Put the butter in a heavy saucepan over medium-low heat. Melt the butter slowly and make sure it does not sizzle or brown. Increase the heat and bring the butter to a boil. When the surface is covered with foam, stir gently and reduce the heat to the lowest possible setting. Gently simmer, uncovered, and undisturbed for 45 minutes, until the milk solids in the bottom of the pan have turned golden brown and the butter on top is transparent. Strain the ghee through a sieve lined with several layers of cheesecloth. The ghee should be perfectly clear and smell nutty; pour into a glass jar and seal tightly.

    Yield: 1 1/2 cups

    Curry Powder (Garam Masala):

    2 tablespoons coriander seeds

    1 tablespoon cumin seeds

    1 tablespoon cardamom seeds

    1 tablespoon whole black peppercorns

    1 teaspoon fennel seeds

    1 teaspoon mustard seeds

    1/2 teaspoon whole cloves

2 dried red chiles, broken in pieces, seeds discarded

    2 tablespoons turmeric

Toast the coriander, cumin, cardamom, peppercorns, fennel, mustard, cloves, and the chiles in a small dry skillet over medium-low heat just until they smell fragrant, about 2 minutes. In a clean coffee grinder or spice mill, grind the toasted spices together to a fine powder. Add the turmeric and give it another quick buzz to combine. Use the curry powder immediately, or store in a sealed jar for up to 1 month.

Has anyone heard of mixing garlic powder&water to spray tomato plants with?to get off white bugs?does it work?

I water the tomato plants every am/pm,so the soil stays wet,is that a problem?WHAT are the little white bugs?Has anyone heard of mixing garlic powder%26amp;water to spray tomato plants with?to get off white bugs?does it work?
If growing organic tomatoes you may want to read the label on the garlic powder bottle. If you can not recognize the ingredients on the label then it is a funny -garlic tasted-weird-chemical powder sold in supermarkets to poison us.........slowly.

I plant garlic %26amp; onions in my veggie garden. They both work great together, and If i happen to see any creatures that don't belong in my garden I then spray some dishwashing soap diluted in water on both top and bottom of the leaves.

When watering your tomatoes, always aim to the soil and not the leaves. Most bugs like to chew on moist leaves...caterpillars specially. Better to water the garden in the morning, right before sunrise.

Mulching with Organic Compost also help keep critters away from your veggie garden. See the video i made in utube to compost in as little as 14 days. Link below:Has anyone heard of mixing garlic powder%26amp;water to spray tomato plants with?to get off white bugs?does it work?
Yes the spray mixture will help and a hard spray of just water from the hose will knock them off too. The little white bugs you describe sound like white flies. The white flies larvae can do a lot of damage to tomato plants. Could also be aphids same technique to get rid of them they don't fly. Also use sticky plant hangers. These are yellow sticky cardboard hanging on plants trap the bugs. Or make your own use Vaseline and twist ties to tie on the branches.
Garlic, %26amp; hot pepper are great ingredients. Add this to some dish liquid and that will help it adhere to the leaves. Make sure you dilute the mixture before applying. Also, be careful; this is some potent stuff. Be sure you wash your hands. I've burned my face rather badly because I wiped my brow in the heat...ouch!
Yes. My father used to make a conconction of garlic and water (and I think he also used hot pepper) to keep bugs and what-not out of the garden. If the little white bugs are aphids, you might be rid of them by dowsing the plants with soapy water.
I got a good education on the garden from the books of Jerry Baker. He gave many such home grown solutions combined with a minimum of commercial bug killers. His books have an abundance of concoctions in the back. Do a Google search on him.
I agree with the last person... use red pepper in the mist, too. I would even sprinkle some into the soil and get it down in there so the insects won't bug it anymore, either.
two very good answers....garlic water also kills mosquitos....

Is Korean red pepper powder different from red pepper powder from a Chinese super market?

I can't tell if it's the same powder.

I saw a bottle of red pepper powder from the spice section of a Chinese supermarket, but I can't tell if it's the same as korean red pepper powder.

Are they made from different peppers? Are they all the same?Is Korean red pepper powder different from red pepper powder from a Chinese super market?
Alex is correct, I am a former chef from Canada and worked in Asia, I do alot of cooking with Korean product, and powder chili's like chili pastes will vary in taste, and with pastes,Korean ones are hotter, smoother and a bit saltier, with dried powders, they vary mostly in heat levels, I bought a bottle like yourself one time, and failed to look at the label, now I love spicy food, but could not understand the molten temp of my dishes until I read the label, and found it was not chinese but Thailand bird chili's are 4th hottest in the world. So be careful how you use it, do not mistake it for the Mexican style or you will find your food inedible from the heat, I use hot sauce like most people use ketchup, I have arthritis and find the active ingredient in all chili's in my meals helps, the only thing I do not use it or chili flakes/powder/pastes on is my morning cereals. Is Korean red pepper powder different from red pepper powder from a Chinese super market?
Yes, they likely come from different chili peppers since korean peppers (kochu) are different from the kind used in Chinese cooking (tien tsin, for instance). Chinese cooking also makes use of cayenne and thai chili bird peppers, although it can't be clear what a generic bottle of red pepper powder from a Chinese supermarket will be from. If you're looking to make korean dishes, go with the korean style. Not all red pepper powders are the same.

Talc. I'd suggest using bare minerals/bare escentuals. Go in and have them do a sample for you, its amazing stuff. No only does it prevent acne but it heals it after a while. I've seen it.

  • How to know if a washing powder contains bleach or not?

Can anyone please tell me what (brand) washing powder I need to buy that doesn't contain bleach.

Generally, how would you know if a washing powder contains bleach or not??

I want to wash my jeans but need a non-chlorine bleach...

    Please advise.

Thank you.How to know if a washing powder contains bleach or not?
It will be printed on the packaging. Also most that say ';with bleach'; contain oxygen bleach or bleach alternatives, not chlorine bleach. For example Tide with Bleach contains non-chlorine bleach and is safe for colors. How to know if a washing powder contains bleach or not?
Good question. Jeans need to be washed. Check the powder label.
If it has bleach it will definitely say so on the package. If it just says washing detergent then it doesn't have bleach. Good ones would be Gain, Fab, Tide for colors.
bio has bleaching agents and non-bio doesnt
Washing powders never contain chlorine bleach. And the one's that contain color-safe bleach say it on the box in big letters.

Just buy some Gain. You don't really need color-safe bleach for jeans ... really color safe bleach is just for really dirty clothes, or your mixed white/brites... you know: like a white shirt with the red sleeves. That is what color safe bleach is for.
well i would suggest ariel, ariel,. daz is for whites because it makes them all white.all the best

Is it okay to swallow the powder inside of a cephalexin 500mg tablet?

I have a phobia of taking pills, and this huge capsule is in no way going down.

So is it safe to do it by just swallowing the powder inside?

Someone please answer. Is it okay to swallow the powder inside of a cephalexin 500mg tablet?
Yes, it's safe. But it's gonna taste horrible. Try putting the powder inside a ball of chewed up food.Is it okay to swallow the powder inside of a cephalexin 500mg tablet?
Well, if it has powder, the capsule must be digestible. Let the capsule sit in your mouth for a bit until it gets soft, swallow it, and take some water with it.
You don't need the capsule. It does not have any medication in it. You can swallow the powder inside, or you can mix it with food or water.
