I read that chefs keep their white coats white by washing them with dishwasher powder instead of laundry detergent. The article said that this would work on all ';whites'; but did not say how much to use. Never heard of that.
I work in a restaurant and they way we keep our whites whites is Borax if they take them home.
Otherwise we have a laundry service do them.
I like to know that one on dishwashing detergent.
Sorry can't help I don't wash---only dirty people wash.
