Can I use baby powder made from cornstarch to thicken gravy and sauces?

It says ';pure cornstarch'; on the baby powder bottle. I think it has some fragrance inside, do you think that will effect the taste of the gravy? Can I use baby powder made from cornstarch to thicken gravy and sauces?
You'll ruin your gravy. If you have flour, use that instead. Just make a paste with water, black pepper and flour. Can I use baby powder made from cornstarch to thicken gravy and sauces?
NO! There are fragrances and other things that aren't meant for human consumption in that! A box of cornstarch is less than $1, so just got out and get some.
no baby powder it is made of glass that has been ground uo baby powder has alot of chemicals
In the future, just buy cornstarch. Baby powder is just corn starch. If you buy it in bulk, neither you nor the baby will run out.
Ewww,,,,,,, That sounds gross.
Ya, you can, but it will most likely give a stomach ache, possibly kill you.
let us know how that turns out
DON'T DO IT! It could hurt you and ruin your food at the same time, and that's not a good thing at all! Go with good old all purpose flour, and get a less-then-best but still pretty good result!
Yes, it definitely will add fragrance and ruin the gravy. Go to the store and spend a buck on the plain kind made for cooking.
No you can't, it has chemicals in the baby powder. Besides do you really want to use a product in your food that you put on your baby's bottom?
